The Recipe for 5/30/18

Pick of the Week:

Nothing impressed me this week.

Worthy Mentions:

Amazing Spider-Man #800 was our last tasty morsel of Stuart Immonen art.  It seems like the Red Goblin went down fairly easy for all the chaos he caused.  Norman is like Marvel’s Joker and logically it would have made more sense to let JJ put him in the dirt.  Ravencroft is about Arkham’s level of success with reforming/curing super villains.

X-Men Blue #28 found it funny that Emma forgot how vindictive Magneto is.  So she has the X-Men gunning for her and the Fiddy Cent of Mutantkind aka Magneto on her tail.  Found it interesting that Emma could undo an Inversion, so do other telepaths like Jean or Xavier could undo the remaining inversion as well? Not sure how I feel about the Bastion/Xorn moment. I wonder if Daken & Jimmy will be  as close as Daken & Laura.  It will interesting overall how Logan’s kids will react to his return.  Marcus To did an excellent job on the art chores.

Spider-Gwen #32 found it interesting to see a version of the Man without Fear so desperate.  Don’t think that this will end well because backing Daredevil against the wall brings out the beast in him as Wilson Fisk can attest.

Descender #30 gave us the long awaited reunion between Tim & Andy.  The shock on Andy’s face when Tim hugged him was tangible and heart-melting.

Lazarus #28 showed us what Jonah has been up to and what tragedy has befallen him.  This premise reminded me of Lone Wolf & Cub.

The Meh Pile:

Nothing that horrid & foul has polluted the pull list.
