DC Don’t Stand For BS……….I Think

We all know Marvel is killing it in the superhero movie business. From such titles like Iron Man,Captain America,Thor and of course the third highest grossing of all the time. Which was the ultimate collection of Marvel’s best,The Avengers. After the failed attempt to make a Justice League almost four years ago,the project is up and running. DC makes incredible animated movies and the their counterparts are average. This post is a letter to the screenwriters and producers of the upcoming movie. Look to your animated films for a story line.

I recently purchased a movie that will move up the story line of origins that Marvel has given people the idea you must follow. The movie you all ask is Batman:Doom. This movie has it all from story to a nice collection of villains. The premise is so brilliant, that I don’t know how they never brought it to the table yet. The story focus on Batman having a fail safe protocol for all the super heroes just in case they go evil. The hero’s arch-villains would execute the plan. Here is a quick run through of the fail safe. The Flash would get tricked by the Mirror Master into getting a bomb latched through his wrist. The bomb would go off if he would stop running and also if he didnt start running at optimal speed. The Martian Manhunter is en dosed with a chemical that would keep him on fire by Ma’alafa’ak . Water or CO2 would be able to put the flame off. Wonder Woman is also en dosed with a serum that would make her think everyone is Cheetah. The serum is supposed to feed off her will to finish the fight. Green Lantern is sprayed with Scarecrow’s fear gas. Star Sapphire use here powers to project a situation where Hal couldn’t save here. Carol Ferris is this movie’s version of Star Sapphire. Superman get’s caught by a kryptonite bullet by Metallo. We all knowing how cynical Bruce Wayne can be,so of course he had a plan for him self. The plan was to keep him off guard by removing both his parents caskets. In this film Bane was the one executed the plan. After the seeing Bane in the Dark Knight Rises I would expect him to be replaced with another villain. Leading the charge of the group of course is not Lex Luthor, but Vandal Savage. I do have one idea that would fit Lex into this movie. Lets say Romney wins the presidential race,we could always work that in the movie as him going against Obama. I did mention that the league would fight the Royal Flush Gang at the beginning of the movie. As sweet as it was to see the Shield Hellicarrier,it would be even better to see the Watchtower? Almost a three hour movie and action packed from start to finish. I ask as a comic book and a super hero fan to not blow this opportunity DC. Make Batman:Doom or just be doomed.

Let me know what you think the JLA movie story line should be. Leave comments below and thank you for reading the first of many.

  • Welcome aboard, Kojack! Excellent review!

Justice League: Doom would make a great movie, as would the comic it’s derived from. If you get a chance, pick up the Justice League: Tower of Babel storyline. Same premise, just slightly different  tactics used and JLA members affected– for instance Plastic Man is flash frozen then shattered to a million pieces and Aquaman is injected with a serum that makes him afraid of water.

This would make an excellent Justice League movie, perhaps a sequel, as it plays on Batman’s distrust of others and would highlight the effectiveness of the DCU’s villians. A great first post for The KLIQ Nation!

  • Great job Kojack!!  I had been meaning to write a review for Justice League: Doom for the longest.  Glad you took care of it for me.  Eclectik’s been saying DC needs to do a JL movie without setting up solo movies for everyone first.  This would be a good alternative.
