Pick of the Week – Birthright No. 12
What I dug: The big reveal at the end makes perfect sense! I will not say anymore to avoid unleashing major spoilers! Infinite kudos to the creative team for consistently putting out solid material.
What I don’t fancy: Not a thing!
Buy or Nah: BUY IT NOW!!! Get a print, digital copy! Just get it!

Pick of the Week – Faster Than Light No. 4
What I dug: The alien races encountered by the crew were not humanoid. The insectoid race design did inspire some primal KILL IT WITH FIRE fear but wasn’t HR Giger creepy.
What I don’t fancy: Nada!
Buy or Nah: BUY IT NOW!

Pick of the Week – Limbo No. 2
What I dug: I know this will show my age but this issue reminded me of the John Ritter film, Stay Tuned. Clay is in more or less the predicament being forced to fight for his life in infernal tv shows
What I don’t fancy: I want to rewatch Stay Tuned now…
Buy or Nah: BUY IT NOW!

Head Lopper No. 2
What I dug: For some odd reason, the head looper reminds me of a mix of Billy from Adventure Time and Conan. The world has that quirky Adventure Time fantasy element with a dash of that Venture Bros sass.
What I don’t fancy: Nada!!!
Buy or Nah: Buy!

Monstress No. 2
What I dug: The world becomes more engaging as new players and elements are revealed.  The two tailed cat is a major scene stealer.
What I don’t fancy: Nothing!
Buy or Nah: Buy!

Saints No. 3
What I dug: The introduction of the new saint and his interaction with the current saint was thrilling.  The prophets and their connection with the fringe/charismatic elements was almost an Easter Egg and demonstrated more research than a certain someone’s heavy handed approach to organized religion.
What I don’t fancy: Lack of a television adaptation!
Buy or Nah: Buy it!
