Marvel has released a new teaser image. This one is slightly different than the ones we’ve become accustomed to. Same black background, except instead of releasing a one word teaser, the teaser is also joined by a rather large #1 image. The #1 is filled in with many of the characters featured in ongoing Marvel NOW! titles (ex: Doctor Strange, Hazmat, Rogue, Venom, Iron Man, Psylocke, Captain America, etc.
Many Marvel titles have relaunched with brand new number one issues, and others have continued their current numbering but added the Marvel NOW! banner to their covers. What could this new teaser be for? A collection of all the Marvel NOW! number one’s? A brand new ongoing title? A title relaunching with a new number one?
Per Newsarama, the advertising email also included this text, “Begin with the best super heroes in comics–Marvel does it FIRST!! HUGE story coming soon to fans, worldwide.”
