Georgetown Hoyas Reenact “Big Trouble in Little China”

The Georgetown Hoyas Men’s basketball team is currently over in China competing during an international tour.  Thursday night the Hoyas were playing the Bayi Rockets when a brawl broke out after a foul was committed on Georgetown’s Jason Clark by Rockets player Hu Ke.  Some pushing and shoving commenced, which led to players from both teams storming the court, throwing chairs and other objects as the police and security were unable to stop the fight.

If this happened in the U.S. the NCAA would suspend both programs for the year to flex their dominance.  I haven’t seen a fight like this since the infamous brawl at the Palace of Auburn Hills between Indiana Pacers and Detroit Pistons.  And from the looks of it the Hoyas came out the losers in this fracase.  That can be chalked up to being outnumbered by the home team and the home fans.  I wonder if the Hoyas fellow Big Ten teams are secretly giggling at them, or is there loyalty amongst rivals when a situation like this occurs.

If anything this shows that China’s BOUT IT BOUT IT.  Video below courtesy of SportsGrid.com
