Vince, Don’t Ruin It!!!

What’s up Nation!

Tonight I watched wrestling on USA hoping the RAW go-home show before the Money in The Bank event this Sunday would be worth the watch.  CM Punk promised us an in-ring contract negotiation with Vince McMahon himself.  The segment saved for the end of the show was an instant classic.

During the contract segment, Punk let the boss know what he had on his mind.   He basically said that Vince was the biggest hypocrite in the world by launching an anti-bullying campaign when he’s the biggest bully around.  He then demanded an apology from the WWE Chairman which he delivered.

He then aimed his words at WWE Champ, John Cena in front of the Boston faithful.  He basically said that Cena was no longer the underdog like the Boston Red Sox but after attaining ten WWE/World Championships he (like the Red  Sox) is no longer the underdog but is now the dynasty like the dreaded New York Yankees.

After getting punched in the face by the champion (you don’t call a Bostonian a Yankee and get away with it) , Punk sat Indian-Style at the top of the ramp and stated that this coming Sunday at the Monday in The Bank Pay-Per-View that the WWE will have seen the last of CM Punk and the WWE Championship.  He then tore up Vince’s contract and …we fade to black.

I have always been a fan of Punk’s in ring work and his mike skills can not be beat, but with this current angle Punk has more than come in on his own.  He had the crowd at the show eating out of his hand.  I know all of the stuff that happened tonight was kayfabe but I can’t help but wonder if we have seen the second coming of Stone Cold Steve Austin.  I’m hoping that Punk will re-sign with the ‘E and begin a new era for the WWE.
