NYCC: Marvel Announces Legion and Rogue & Gambit Ongoing Series

Marvel Announces LEGION and ROGUE & GAMBIT Series
Coming This January!
More information to be announced at New York Comic Con!

Marvel has decided to get out in front of spoilers for its New York Comic Con announcements by revealing two new ongoing series for the X-Men family of comics.

First up is Legion, which will star David Haller, the son of Professor Charles Xavier and recent star of the FX Network original series of the same name. With Season Two coming in 2018, it makes sense for Marvel to capitalize on the character’s increased popularity with a new series. This will be the second title that Legion has starred in, after his run in 2012’s X-Men: Legacy.

Gambit and Rogue have a long history together with the X-Men, which includes a romantic relationship that carried over into X-Men: The Animated Series. While Rogue hasn’t had an ongoing solo series, Gambit has been featured in two separate volumes that followed his thieving adventures. Rogue currently starts in Uncanny Avengers and Gambit has recently guest-starred in X-Men Gold.

For now, we will have to wait until New York Comic Con officially kicks off in a few days for more information regarding release dates and creative teams.
