Official Teaser Image For ‘ALL-NEW, ALL-DIFFERENT’ Marvel Universe

It’s fun to wake up first thing in the morning and see that comic news broke while you were sleeping.  That’s exactly what happened to me today.  Special thanks to @ComicBookBros1 for alerting me to the image that USA Today released, along with an interview with Marvel’s Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso.

The article is the basic pre-hype machine for the upcoming All-New, All-Different Marvel universe set to premiere in the fall.  We already reported that everything will skip ahead 8 months once Secret Wars ends, and there will be 50-60 new titles launching, with a free preview in July.  The image below includes holdovers from the 616 universe.  Sam Wilson as Captain America, the new female Thor, and Ms. Marvel, along with heroes from alternate universes like Miles Morales and Spider-Gwen.

During the USA Today interview there is talk of All-New versions of Wolverine and Hulk.  Two possibilities for those can be found in Secret Wars right now.  An older version of Wolverine is currently starring in Old Man Logan, and we know the Maestro in Future Imperfect will be staying once the event is concluded.  However, Alonso teases that the new Hulk will have fans talking.

“And there are major upcoming debuts in the works, including the introduction of a new Wolverine in the Marvel Universe and an “incredible Hulk like no fan has ever seen before,” Alonso says. “That’s certain to be a topic of conversation. All the same people who yelled about female Thor are going to do the same thing about this Hulk.”

What I am most excited about is the new blood of creators Marvel will bring in to work on these titles.   “Alonso says to expect novelists and a next generation of talent exhibiting “diversity in terms of gender and ethnicity.””
