CM Punk With His Own Version Of Tupac’s “Hit Em Up”

Well that was certainly a surprise ending to WWE RAW last night!  CM Punk gave a promo for the ages, as he ripped into John Cena, “Dwayne” aka The Rock, Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Triple H, and many brass rings he had to reach for in vain.

My first reaction was “OH S@*T!!”  After that subsided, I remembered this isn’t the first time that a wrestling promotion has tried to work a crowd with real life moments.  I still remember Vince Russo cutting a scathing promo on Hulk Hogan, Paul Heyman (who CM Punk even mentions during his rampage) “shooting” on Vince and the WWE at the One Night Stand PPV.

Even though I’ve been conditioned over 20+ years as a wrestling fan to be skeptical of any storyline being true/false, that still does not mean I don’t enjoy really enjoy seeing these moments that make me say “What is going on??” as I am watch it.

The spoilers for next week’s RAW (it was taped last night because of the holiday weekend) are all the hints you need for whether this was a work or not.  But if CM Punk is really leaving the company after the Money in the Bank PPV, I will always remember him sitting Indian-style, breaking the 4th wall.

According to wrestlezone.com. Jim Rome said he will give Punk 45 minutes to finish his speech from Monday. Interesting.
