Marvel’s Teen Heroes Stand Together As CHAMPIONS In New Series

Marvel NOW! is bringing with it massive change to the Marvel universe post-Civil War II. As Marvel preps for their October 2016 solicits, new series’ are being announced.

One of these is Champions from the creative team of Mark Waid and Humberto Ramos. Waid is currently writing three of the teen heroes in All-New, All-Different Marvel — Ms. Marvel, Miles Morales Spider-Man and Nova. The press release goes on to name the other members of the team, but forgets to mention X-Men member Cyclops (younger Cyclops from All-New X-Men).

Of course, conspiracy theorists will take this as another example of Marvel de-emphasizing mutants/X-Men on the publishing side of things.

Either way, we’ll have to wait until October to see this new team of Champions in action.
