From the Ashes of Avengers: Standoff Comes THUNDERBOLTS #1!

Remember all those Thunderbolts teasers from the last couple of days? Marvel revealed that a new Thunderbolts series will spin out of Avengers: Standoff from the creative team of Jim Zub and Jon Malin.

Zub has done a few projects for Marvel. Most recently on the Figment and Figment 2 series. I’m glad to see him finally getting an ongoing superhero comic from Marvel. I haven’t met him, but from his Twitter account he seems like one of the nicest creators in comics today.

Jon Malin I’m not familiar with, but I love the look of his art in the first promo piece below.

There is a glut of heroic teams in the All-New, All-Different Marvel Universe, so it will be interesting to see how the Winter Soldier-led Thunderbolts fit into the equation.
