Pick of the Week – The Totally Awesome Hulk No. 1
What I dug: Amadeus Cho as the Hulk gave me a greater understanding of the Hulk. The Hulk magnifies whatever is suppressed in the host. It magnifies Banner’s anxiety and rage in the same manner, it augmented Cho’s libido. Frank Cho’s art is superb and perfect for the Hulk.  I also loved how Amadeus has Hulking Out down to an exact science.
What I don’t fancy: Nada!
Buy or Nah: BUY IT NOW!!!

Pick of the Week – Invincible Iron Man No. 4
What I dug: Tony’s samurai mode and those techno ninjas are visually interesting. This iteration of Doom is appealing, it’s refreshing to see a mellow Victor.
What I don’t fancy: Not a thing!
Buy or Nah: BUY IT NOW!!!

Pick of the Week – Doctor Strange No. 3
What I dug: This iteration of Doctor Strange reminds me of Doctor Who in the manner he interacts with the world around him. The art is a perfect compliment to the quirky nature of the story.
What I don’t fancy: Nada!
Buy or Nah: BUY IT NOW!!!

Pick of the Week – Star Wars No. 13
What I dug: R2’s display of bravery against his murderous double and use of colorful language were entertaining.
What I don’t fancy: The possible end of the murderous droid duo, they were so entertaining.
Buy or Nah: BUY IT NOW!!!

All New Inhumans No. 1
What I dug: Gorgon’s adapting to his current situation and his new role as mentor/trainer is appealing. Crystal’s growth as a leader and her plans to defend her people are a sight to behold.
What I don’t fancy: Nada
Buy or Nah: Buy!

All New X-Men No. 1
What I dug: Kid Scott’s journey and attempt to navigate in a world tarnished by his older self’s legacy is a burden that he carries like a hero.
What I don’t fancy: What Jerk Scott did is only mentioned and not illustrated at this point.
Buy or Nah: Buy!

All New All Different Avengers No. 2
What I dug: The lineup for this Avengers is refreshing.
What I don’t fancy: How Nova is an annoying twerp and a clear contrast to how he is depicted in his own book.
Buy or Nah: Buy!

Daredevil No. 1
What I dug: The art!
What I don’t fancy: The need to change the previous iteration of DD and the new villain is a bit too odd.
Buy or Nah: On the fence!

Extraordinary X-Men No. 3
What I dug: The way this X-Team interacted with each other in the face of danger!  Old Man Logan’s interaction with Teen Jean illustrated how damaged he is.
What I don’t fancy: The manifestation of the new mutant’s power was a bit too convenient.
Buy or Nah: Buy!

Guardians of Infinity No. 1
What I dug: Three different teams of Guardians and their interaction with each other was entertaining.
What I don’t fancy: Nada
Buy or Nah: Buy!

Howard the Duck No. 2
What I dug: The history of the female clones and their “father” was the main appeal.  The Gwenpool back story was an excellent bonus.
What I don’t fancy: Nada!
Buy or Nah: Buy!

Miracleman No. 5
What I dug:
What I don’t fancy: Gaiman is a slow burn and more enjoyable in trade format IMO.
Buy or Nah: On the fence!

Nova No. 2
What I dug: Sam’s characterization is superior to his portrayal in team books. His humanity shines and he’s more than an impulsive twerp.
What I don’t fancy: Nada!
Buy or Nah: Buy!

Red Wolf No. 1
What I dug: The transformation from a western into a weird west book. It’s almost like a Jonah Hex book set in the MU.
What I don’t fancy: Nada!
Buy or Nah: Buy!

Spidey No. 1
What I dug: This iteration of Gwen Stacey is interesting and entertaining. The Nick Bradshaw art is a huge draw.
What I don’t fancy: Nada!

Vision No. 2
What I dug: The sudden tone shift was unexpected, eerie, and enthralling.
