Details from “The Dark Knight Rises” + Empire Magazine Covers

News broke today that the third movie in the Batman triology The Dark Knight Rises will take place eight years after The Dark Knight.  This is obviously huge news. At the end of The Dark Knight, Batman was on the run from Gotham police.  When we pick back up in the third movie, will this still be the case, or will the relationship between Batman and Gotham City be even worse?

I also wonder will there be insider references to any past crimes Batman has solved during these eight years.  Maybe we’ll get a passing comment or two about how Batman took down a fellow by the name of Edward Nigma perhaps?  You know comic book fans love easter eggs in their films.

Finally, Empire Magazine has released two covers featuring Bane (Tom Hardy) and Batman (Christian Bale) on the covers.  This gives fans another chance to critique the look of Bane.
