Ether #3 cover header

Picks of the Week:
Doom Patrol No. 4 had such a trippy yet cohesive narrative.  It led me to reread the previous issues; they all fit so well together like the pieces of a puzzle.

Dr. Strange No. 16 taking away Strange’s vast arsenal has forced him to be more creative and resourceful.  This issues definitely illustrated how crafty he can be when his back is against the wall.

Ether No. 3 has to be one of my favorite books.  Boone’s need to point out the superiority of science reminds me the constant squabble between Dr. Venture & Dr. Orpheus.  The Faere Folk are quite interesting visually.

Future Quest No. 9 gave my inner child a total geekasm, the highlight had to be Race receiving Space Ghost’s wrist blasters.  CN needs to make an animated series about this.  Johnny Quest is long over due for another reboot.

The Flash No. 15 made me respect Mirror Master, use to think he was a Mort like Pasty Pot Pete.  The creative team definitely dispelled that foolish notion.

Worthy Mentions:
Action Comics No. 792 led me to believe that this iteration of Lex has more integrity and decency than his previous iterations.

Arclight No. 4 felt like an abrupt end. I wanted to see more of this world.

Batman Beyond No. 4 makes me wonder how anyone got the drop on old Bruce especially some young punk to the point that he’s in his present state.

Black Panther No. 10 made me wonder why the people of Wakanda are fed up with the monarchy at this point in their history.  Thought a “king” would be too antiquated for such an advanced people.

Carnage No. 16 surprised that they didn’t put a bullet in his head for all of the havoc, he caused.  Nothing good can come from his continued existence or his symbiote’s.

Deadpool No. 25 love moments where Wade is humanized.  To think that he sees that ending with a family as a happy accident.  I wonder if his eldest daughter will join some Junior X-Team.

Deathstroke No. 11 delivered an absurd and entertaining return of the Creeper.

Detective Comics No. 949 makes me hope that the Colony becomes what Raptor became for Nightwing.

GI Joe No. 2 made me wonder if Skywarp would ever value those “insects”.

Hal Jordan and Green Lantern Corps No. 13 gave a much needed and satisfying filler.

Infamous Iron Man No. 4 delighted me that Doom didn’t just abandon his homeland when he turned over a new leaf.  He just placed his faith in the wrong person.

Justice League – Killer Frost Rebirth No. 1 truly illustrates how unique she is when compared to her “teammates”.

Justice League vs Suicide Squad No. 6 made me wonder if she’s called the “Wall” because her head is thicker than a wall.  After all that happened, she does this?

Loose Ends No. 1 seems like the making of something tragic yet memorable.

Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur No. 15 delighted me that these two crossed paths.

Spider-Man – Deadpool MU No. 1 made a mega event tie-in well worth the read. Wade just brings extra weirdness into Poor Pete’s world.

Spider-Woman No. 15 was a stronger reminder Hopeless has a knack for playing with the reader’s feels.

Star Wars No. 27 made me curious about those crystals.

Teen Titans No. 4 made me wonder how Garfield even knows Tim in light of these reality reboots.

The Kamandi Challenge No. 1 had a strong start.

The Totally Awesome Hulk No. 15 was one of the more entertaining hero downtime books.

The Burn Pile:
Won’t taint your beings by mentioning these offensive messes
