BOOM! Studios To Publish Tom Taylor And James Brouwer’s THE DEEP

Day #3 BOOM! Studios’ Road To New York Comic-Con Announces KaBOOM! Imprint To Publish Tom Taylor and James Brouwer’s THE DEEP.

BOOM! Studios is making 10 announcements in 10 days before New York Comic Con (Oct. 6-9). For Day #3, the announcement is imprint KaBOOM! will publish The Deep from Tom Taylor (All-New Wolverine, Injustice: Gods Among Us) and James Brouwer (Justice League Beyond) starting in January 2017.

Taylor and Brouwer originally published The Deep with Gestalt as two graphic novels in Australia. KaBOOM! will print The Deep as a six-issue limited series, with a collected edition due in Fall 2017. It has also been turned into an animated series on Netflix.

THE DEEP follows the Nekton family, who have explored the depths of the oceans for generations, discovering the unknown in the Aronnax, a state-of-the-art submarine capable of diving to incredible depths. When an earthquake off the coast of Greenland leads to strange reports of monster sightings, William and Kaiko Nekton, along with their kids Fontaine and Ant (and of course, Ant’s pet fish Jeffrey), dive into the mystery!
