“Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders” Reunites Original Batman TV Talent

Adam West, Burt Ward and Julie Newmar return to the world of Batman to lend their voice talent to the new animated film “Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders.”

File this under “Animated projects I had no clue were in development.” Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is releasing Batman: Return of the Caped Crusader this fall. The project will star the voice talent of actors and actresses familiar to older fans of the Dark Knight — Adam West (Batman), Burt Ward (Robin) and Julie Newmar (Catwoman).

The movie is set in the 1960’s, during the age when West, Ward and Newmar starred as Batman, Robin and Catwoman on the hit television series. I remember racing home from elementary school in the 80’s and watching reruns of the show. I hope the animated movie is filled with plenty of POW! ZAP! KAPOW!’s.

Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders will be available November 1, 2016 on Blu-ray™ Combo Pack ($24.98 SRP) and DVD ($19.98 SRP), and on Digital HD starting October 11, 2016.

It’s back to the 1960s as Batman and Robin spring into action when Gotham City is threatened by a quartet of Batman’s most fiendish foes – Penguin, The Joker, Riddler and Catwoman.
