Pick of the Week – All New Wolverine No. 1
What I dug: The possibility of more X-23s makes sense since she was a successful recreation of Weapon X. I enjoyed the growth that Laura experienced as a character. Her relationship with Teen Warren is cute. The art is a perfect fit for the series.
What I don’t fancy: Nada!

What I dug: The Hood has apparently learned a thing or two from Dormmamu. His machinations are now befitting someone who had usurped Wilson Fisk’s power.

Pick of the Week – Infinity Gauntlet No. 5
What I dug: They formed a Nova Voltron! A NOVA VOLTRON! A Nova Groot! The Death Stone was an ingenious move. I love what Weaver has done with the Nova Corps.
What I don’t fancy: No more Super Nova Sentai!

All New Hawkeye No. 1
What I dug: The interaction between Kate and Clint was great. The hope for Kate & Noh shippers presented in this issue.

What I dug: The interaction between the Sam’s and their respective teammates was golden.
What I don’t fancy: The shift in art and the use of the Chitauri! Can Marvel give the Chitauri a rest?

Captain America – White No. 4
What I dug: The innocence of Cap and his awkward situation with the French agent was priceless.
What I don’t fancy: Nada!

Carnage No. 1
What I dug: John Jameson and Eddie Brock are onboard to put down Carnage.
What I don’t fancy: Feel like Carnage needs to be benched because of his overuse.

Chewbacca No. 3
What I dug: The further exploration of Chewie’s character outside of being Han’s right hand man is excellent. He truly shines on his own.
What I don’t fancy: Nada!

Darth Vader No. 12
What I dug: The exploration of Vader’s creative and manipulative side is a refreshing change from the emperor’s lapdog. It’s great to see that he has rivals and the emperor is smart enough to avoid putting all of his eggs in one basket.

Figment No. 2
What I dug: This is an all ages story that didn’t dumb things down for a young audience.
What I don’t fancy: Nada!

Secret Wars No. 7
What I dug: Black Panther owning the title of King of Dead at the end. The way Namor dispatched the zombie heckler was hilarious.
What I don’t fancy: The way Apocalypse and the Maestro handled the Thor Corp makes me wonder how they were ever a deterrent for any rebellious baron.

Spider-Gwen No. 2
What I dug: The Captain America and Falcon from Gwen’s universe are interesting characters. I hope that they get a spinoff series to flesh them out.
What I don’t fancy: Nada!

Spider-Man 2099 No. 3
What I dug: Doctor Chronos’ mechanical body was impressive but I expected more from the man who taught Doom everything about robotics.
What I don’t fancy: Miguel playing the brooding Spider-Man role once filled by Kaine

Squadron Sinister No. 4
What I dug: The battle between Nighthawk and Hyperion reminded me of the Dark Knight showdown between Bruce and Clark. I also dug how defiant Nighthawk was in the bitter end. What I don’t fancy: Nada!

Superman American Alien No. 1
What I dug: Kid Clark! We don’t get an opportunity to see Clark as a kid. We usually see him as a baby and a teen. It’s a refreshing change to see him as a kid.
What I don’t fancy: Nada!

Thors No. 4
What I dug: Rune Thor’s motivation made sense, he is the classical dirty cop. The ending opens the door for a grand possibility.
What I don’t fancy: Nada!

What I dug: This Avengers book gave the reader a clearer picture how the Secret War changed the multiverse and reality.
What I don’t fancy: Nada!

What I dug: The interaction between Gwen and May was a big draw.
