Pick of the Week – Huck No. 1
What I dug: The new Millar writing style is a treat. It has an innocence/wholesome joy/purity that reminded me of Mike Allred’s Madman and All Star Superman.  Huck gets satisfaction from being a decent human being and doing good deeds for others.  This book is devoid of over-the-top violence and mature themes that Millar is known for, yet it is his best book IMO.  It is a very inspirational book.
What I don’t fancy: Not a thing!

Pick of the Week – Paybacks No. 3
What I dug: The popsicle party! With all the messed up stuff that has happened over three issues, they found the time to enjoy popsicles. This book reminds me of Venture Bros so much.  Bloodpouch continues to grow on me and is easily tied with Miss Adventure for my favorite character.
What I don’t fancy: Nada!
Buy or Nah: BUY IT NOW!

I Hate Fairyland No. 2
What I dug: The art and the inversion of a trope are appealing.
What I don’t fancy: The main characters aren’t terribly likeable.
Buy or Nah: On the fence

Reyn No. 10
What I dug: The origins of Reyn was satisfying. An additional layer was added to the world and I loved it.  Lines such as “Nobody gets their hairline that perfect unless it’s man-made” and “even his… uh… fully functional” made me chuckle.
What I don’t fancy: Nada!
Buy or Nah: Buy!

Shutter No. 17
What I dug: The world is so quirky.  It reminds me of a mix of Adventure Time and the Amazing World of Gumball because of the unique and inhuman cast.
What I don’t fancy: Nada!
Buy or Nah: Buy it!

Tokyo Ghost No. 3
What I dug: Murphy’s art was the main draw.
What I don’t fancy: The overall flow of the story felt incredibly predictable IMO.
Buy or Nah: Buy!
