Pick of the Week – Paybacks No. 2
What I dug: The cast is the main draw. This issue reveals the reason why they are all together. Emory Rain’s secret was unexpected.  Miss Adventure is my favorite character, followed by Bloodpouch.  The cliffhanger was torturous.
What I don’t fancy: Why isn’t this an animated series? This concept is perfect for Adult Swim!
Buy or Nah: BUY IT NOW!!!

Fade Out No. 10
What I dug: Brubaker + Phillips = Magic. The cast feels so organic and natural.  This comic could easily be an HBO or AMC series.
What I don’t fancy: Nada
Buy or Nah: Buy!

Shutter No. 16
What I dug: I must say that this book has one of the most unique settings and cast.  Also learned to never mess with an alarm cat with nothing to lose.
What I don’t fancy: Nothing stood out.
Buy or Nah: Buy it!

Tithe No. 6
What I dug: The concept is interesting and scary. This easily could be the plot of some fringe fundamental group.  The story could easily be translated to the small screen.
What I don’t fancy: Nada!
Buy or Nah: Buy!

Tokyo Ghost No. 2
What I dug: The expansion of Teddy’s and Debbie’s back story was a nice touch. Murphy’s art is on-point as always.
What I don’t fancy: Teddy isn’t a terribly interesting character. The depiction of Japan wasn’t what I expected.
Buy or Nah: On the fence

Wolfe No. 4
What I dug: Wolfe is the amalgamation of everything I dug about Angel and Constantine. Anita’s fate was unexpected.
What I don’t fancy: Nada!
Buy or Nah: Buy
