Revisit INFINITY In All-New ‘WHAT IF?’ Story
I normally skip What If? stories, just because they seem to follow the same formula. No matter which event is being retold, it always involves multiple deaths to make things seem more “jarring”. “Watch Spider-Man die!”. “The X-Men are no more!” or “The X-Men are being led by Apocalypse now!”. You get the idea.
What If? Infinity might get me to read it based off the power of the creators involved. I’ve been enjoying Joshua Williamson’s Image Comics work (Ghosted, Birthright, Nailbiter), and he has started to add more Marvel to his portfolio with a story in Secret Wars: Battleworld and Illuminati. Plus artists Mike Henderson, Riley Rossmo, Mike Norton, and Goran Sudzuka……a pretty nice lineup. I only leave out Jason Copeland because I’m not familiar with his work yet.
