The Dark Knight Rises & Avengers Movie Trailers

As the 2011 summer movie season comes to an end, fans are already being teased with next year’s blockbusters. Warner Bros. released The Dark Knight Rises trailer with Harry Potter: The Deathly Hallows Part 2. Also the after-credit scene at the end of Captain America will be a teaser trailer for Avengers. Both The Dark Knight Rises and Avengers are slated for summer 2012 releases.

As a fan of comic books, it brings great joy to see these images. Even with the low-quality of the Avengers teaser, just knowing that FINALLY these characters will all be brought together in one movie is enough for me. My only fear is once you start having so many high profile actors/actresses together in a movie, the movie unfortunately suffers as a result. Every person has to have enough camera time, the story of the movie is never fleshed out enough. And my biggest pet peeve: the star has to be seen without their mask/helmet covering their face. Because the star and studio believe that it’s a crime to cover up a million dollar face throughout the movie. This trend needs to end as soon as possible.

Do you want to know why I am not listing anything I’m fearful of from The Dark Knight Rises? That’s because there is nothing to be fearful of. Christopher Nolan has cemented a track record of flawless Batman movies under his belt. The only thing I’m sad about is that he will not be directing anymore Batman movies after this one.
