Netflix To Make Changes To Plans/Pricing

Do you enjoy paying $7.99 for unlimited streaming while also having one disc out at a time on Netflix?  Well starting September 1st for current subscribers, that pricing is about to change.  Netflix is currently altering all their pricing plans, which will take effect instantly for new subscribers.

There will be a separate stream-online option and a one DVD option, both for $7.99 per month.  If you would like both, the price will be $15.98 per month.  No word on what increases there will be for the additional plans.

Just when I was thinking of finally signing up for Netflix, they decide to increase the pricing on me.  The reason I have not signed up already is because I have such a backlog of DVDs and shows on TiVo that I am working my way through.  Once I finished all that, I was going to sign up for Netflix.

Now the only question is whether to go all streaming or add one DVD to it.  After researching there are a few television programs that are not streaming yet (the cartoon shows Batman Beyond and Gargoyles for example), so if I want to see those I will need a plan that includes DVDs.  A plus for Netflix is I believe you can make modifications to your account per month.  Say for instance there is a month where you want to add the one DVD.  You can sign up for just that month, and once you are done with the DVD just go back to your all-streaming plan.

Will the changes to Netflix’s pricing cause you to think about making adjustments to your account?  Will you unsubscribe?  Or do you not care at all?
