DC Comics Offers A Surprise On DCnU Green Lantern Cover

When the DC Universe relaunches in September, Green Lantern will be giving its fans an unexpected surprise.  Sinestro, currently the leader of the Sinestro Corp and yellow ring owner, is displayed on the cover. And he is also wearing the Green Lantern uniform along with a green ring.

 

 

 

This raises many questions….why is Sinestro back being a Green Lantern?  What events cause this?  Is he really a Green Lantern, or is this a bait-and-switch?  My first thought is DC wants to tie this into the recently released Green Lantern movie.  In it, Sinestro is a member of the Green Lantern Corps.  Perhaps DC really wants to do a re-telling of the Green Lantern origin with Hal Jordan AGAIN.

For now, we have to wait until September to see what DC has in store.
